Hindsight being what it is, there are a few things I would have changed about my wedding. Overall though, it was a pretty perfect day. So much so, that I can’t choose just one picture to share for the Down the Aisle link up hosted by Mommy of a Monster. I guess it’s easier for me to go in order of the wedding.
Here I am trying to keep myself together as I made my way to the ceremony.
Then I saw my Dad. I’ll never forget the look on his face when he saw me in my dress. He got all choked up. It was the first time I’ve ever seen that happen. Here he is walking me down the aisle to give his baby girl away.
My next favorite is of my husband. This was his reaction when he saw me with my dad.
My mother couldn’t stop smiling the whole day. I think it’s safe to say she was proud.
Then we jumped the broom and made it official.
I love this man…
Have you added your wedding photos to the linky?
Looks beautiful. I don’t have many pictures of us getting married and the ones I do have I would have to scan on the computer. I wish we had a real photographer but money was tight for us. Those memories are worth the extra effort.
i am thankful we have these. kinda takes me back to the day all over again.
You look absolutely gorgeous! what great pictures!
thanks! it was a great day!
Beautiful!
thank you!
Beautiful bride! That is such a fun link-up. Love seeing all the wedding shots!
thanks! it’s fun to see everybody at such a happy time!
Beautiful bride. Truly. Your mom looks so smitten with you, the wedding, the whole affair. It’s wonderful. And that story about your dad choking up after never having done so before? A memory to treasure indeed.
yeah, the day is full of great memories.
You were stunning! And your husband is HOT!
thanks and thanks! As far as my husband – I agree! 😉
Seriously…could you be anymore gorgeous!?! And I love the pic of your husband 😉
My fave is definitely the first one of you walking down the stairs…those pics of the moments nobody ever thinks to catch are always my fave.
Thank you so much for linking up!
thanks! how sweet. i love looking back at these. i forgot some of these little moments.
Great pictures. Love that you showed many different pictures from the wedding.
thanks Jessica!
Wait! I need to know more about the jump the broom tradition. that’s new to me.
Also, beautiful, beautiful bride and couple you are. Love.
it’s an old african american tradition. i’ve heard many reasons behind it. i’ll go with jumping out of our old life and into our new life together.
I somehow missed this post! You were such a beautiful bride…no wonder your husband had that huge grin on his face!
thanks Natalie! too bad he’s had to get used to jeans and ponytails since that day! 🙂
