It’s the beginning of a new week and somehow it’s November. Not sure how that happened. Can you believe it’s about to be Thanksgiving!? I’m seeing Christmas stuff everywhere and I still have bags of Halloween candy left!
Any who, ready or not, it’s going to be 2014 before we know it. One of my goals for the new year is to dive in to my business ventures with full force. I’ll get more into that in another post.
While I’m all about doing this business thing, I’m also about doing it right. When my sister friend Amber asked me to be her guest at a conference where she was speaking, I was totally game. It was a conference for women entrepreneurs called “At the Helm“. I was so excited for her to be able to share more about her business! It was awesome to see my girl operating in her gift. She worked it.
When another woman was presenting, she asked for volunteers and I threw my hand up and headed up to the front. She asked what our passion is and why. I went in! She asked for a brief answer but I was feeling it and went on for a minute.
I got a great response from people and really connected. That’s awesome. By the way, my passion is motivating and encouraging others. 🙂
This was a great event! I’m looking forward to being involved in more and getting myself out there. Yay!
I spent all of Saturday at this conference and didn’t see much of my family that day. So Sunday was definitely family day. We spent part of the day doing some shopping and somehow ended up at downtown Disney! Of course, my son was beyond excited. He clearly thought that he was about to have a Mufasa sighting. Um, no. Anytime he hears Disney, he thinks Disneyland. That one trip this summer has ruined him! Lol
That’s our weekend, how was yours?
You are so right about it going to be 2014 right around the corner. I’m crazy excited about it (new beginnings and all). I think it is great that you are going to dive into your business full force, you go girl! I’ll be rooting for you the whole time 🙂

You are so beautifully tall and graceful! My weekend wasn’t the best but it had its moments. A family trip to Trader Joe’s and a big photo shoot with a cute family of four.

I JUST realized that Thanksgiving is week after next and that Christmas is rushing up behind it!
Our weekend was slow. Which is a good thing.
Yay for speaking up at the conference
Oh, and I love that skirt!

You look so elegant, Cam. Great that you are passionate about motivating and encouraging others. That’s my calling too! At The Helm sounds like it was very motivational.

Thank you!
Glad you enjoyed the conference. November did come fast, but I’m really looking forward to the holidays. We had rough summer and a rough start to fall. So, this holiday cheer has been much needed over here!

Looks like it was a great event and I can totally see you doing something in this arena. I saw some of your tweets and wasn’t sure what the hashtag meant. I always love events such as that, so encouraging.
