Mother’s Day 2013 is in the books and it was a great one. I spent my weekend in awe of the little people I had a hand in creating. They probably have had enough kisses and hugs to last them a lifetime. Too bad – I’ve still got more to give. 🙂
Here are the highlights of Mother’s Day 2013:
We actually got out to a trendy restaurant – kids in tow. My husband made us brunch reservations at a cool place in Santa Monica, CA. It’s always nice to get to eat somewhere that isn’t strictly a family restaurant.
My kids made sure I know they are the reason I even get to celebrate. I woke up hanging on to the edge of the bed as they’d both wedged themselves between their dad and me.
My son made me breakfast and delivered it to me in bed. He was very proud of his fruit salad skills.
My daughter crawled over and gave me a deliberate bear hug first thing in the morning. It was such a sweet way to start the day.
I enjoyed a Mother’s Day tea with my son and his class. It was great to get some one on one time with him. He doesn’t get a whole lot of that now that he has a little sister.
Overall, I just felt beyond loved. How was your weekend/Mother’s Day?

Happy Mothers day to you. I enjoyed the weekend resting and staying in bed with a remote all Sunday best day ever.
Sounds and looks like a great day. I spent the day home for the most part. It was a nice and easy day.
