You might remember not too long ago, I wrote about attending a virtual wine tasting. I don’t know if you’ve found any of these events but they really are a lot of fun. Recently we had a little theater and Christmas cocktail time with friends all, you guessed it, virtually.
There’s an app I use called Fever. They list events all the time. Many of the events are virtual. It’s where my friend and I found a trivia night/wine tasting event. It was so much fun we decided to check out their A Christmas Carol cocktail spectacular. It was a full on production of “A Christmas Carol” interspersed with song and dance numbers that instructed you on how to make tasty Christmas cocktails.
Beforehand they send out a kit with all the ingredients and recipes you need to make the drinks. My husband and I cast the show on our TV and sat down with a tray to be ready to make the holiday treats. The show was good and interactive. You could watch it full screen or with the chat box. The cocktails were delicious and I want a full on bar for the house now. Ha!
We texted back and forth with our friends during the show to share feedback on the drinks and the show. We’ve done Netflix watch parties for our kids. This was like a watch party “adult style”. It was the perfect way to nudge me into the holiday spirit. Bring on, Christmas!
