Recently there has been a bit of controversy over breast milk. Everyone knows that breast is best for babies so, what’s the big deal, right? Well what if I offered you some ice cream made of breast milk? That’s what a shop in London is doing. On their menu they’ve added a delectable dessert of breast milk ice cream. They want people to think of it as an organic, free range treat. Hmmm… interesting. The concoction will be called the Baby Gaga! HA! How fitting! How did they get the breast milk, you ask? Well, 15 women responded to an ad from the Icecreamists’ restaurant. One of the mother’s who participated is Victoria Hiley and she had this to say
She said she believes that if adults realised how tasty breast milk actually is, then new mothers would be more willing to breast-feed their own newborns.
“What could be more natural than fresh, free-range mother’s milk in an ice cream? And for me it’s a recession beater too — what’s the harm in using my assets for a bit of extra cash,” Hiley said in a statement.
“I tried the product for the first time today — it’s very nice, it really melts in the mouth.”
The breast milk is blended with vanilla and lemon zest and churned into ice cream. The Baby Gaga is one of many new flavors at the shop. No doubt, it’s the one getting the most attention. What do you think about breast milk ice cream?
