As I creep closer and closer to the big 4-oh, I start to think more and more about things I want to do. I have so many things I want to accomplish and somehow I plan to cram a lot of it in before I turn forty. Luckily, I have some years to get it all done.

  5. Learn to swim
  6. Take a cruise
  7. Publish first book
  8. Learn another language fluently
  9. Take a dance class
  10. Take a photography class
  11. Take a jewelry making class
  12. Take vocal lessons
  13. Take a cooking class
  14. Make progress on a second book
  15. Launch my own business
  16. Have a glammed up photo shoot
  17. Completely transform my lifestyle and eating habits
  18. Take a full day to be a tourist in L.A.
  19. Ride in a hot air balloon
  20. Get my own column in a magazine (online or print)
  21. Rescue a dog
  22. Attend Fashion Week in New York
  23. Start Vlogging
  24. Be strong enough to do a pull up
  25. Learn to drive a stick shift
  26. Go to Hawaii
  27. Be on the Today Show
  28. Learn to play piano
  29. Increase investment knowledge
  30. Send care package to a soldier
  31. Launch a second blog
  32. Visit Yosemite
  33. Have a 2nd child
  34. Buy a bigger home. (just an extra bedroom or two)
  35. Re-visit Paris with our son
  36. Visit New Orleans
  37. Write an e-book
  38. Be a part of a Flash Mob
  39. Cook Thanksgiving dinner
  40. Publish article in traditional magazine

  1. I love your list- it’s quite impressive! I have started making my 30 by 30 list but I have sometime much like you. I hope you get to accomplish each and every one of those things and more 🙂

  2. Such a nice bucket list, I think I’ll do something similar, too. I’m going to be 40 in 2 years, and sometimes I feel really depressed because of it. But last week I’ve made a conversation with my girlfriend who is already 42, and she said, she was depressed, too, but now she feels glad about to be able to breath and live healthy and have a nice family. And I totally agree with her, these are the things that count, not the numbers.
