There are some things I didn’t fully appreciate until I was older. High on that list would be my diet. I ate way too much fast food when I was younger. I lived for a dollar menu! French fries are probably still on my list of favorite foods. As I’ve gotten older, I’m all about being healthier and eating smarter. When I was given the chance to check out this Organic matcha green tea from Kiss Me Organics, I was all about it.
I am a tea lover! Some would say a tea snob. I’m a big fan of loose leaf teas. I brew a good cup every morning. My favorite is green tea. There are so many benefits from it. It can help you to lose weight, lower your risk for some cancers and other diseases. With benefits like that, you can see why I love it. The matcha green tea is certainly more amped than a regular brewed green tea. This particular brand is tested for purity and contains up to 137 times the antioxidants found in a cup of brewed green tea. Gotta love that!
One cool thing that stands out about matcha green tea powder is all the things you can do with it. It can be used for smoothies, baking and lattes. I used it to make lattes.
I added honey to my lattes and it was yummy. I was skeptical because other matcha green teas I’d had wasn’t that great. They all seemed to taste powdery. This one was really smooth. I was pleasantly surprised! I had been battling a cold the last few weeks and those lattes came in handy!
The benefits of matcha include:
Energy boosting – I needed that while I was sick. This mama was super low on energy and could fall asleep at any given moment.
Calorie burning – That was a plus. While battling my cold, I didn’t have the energy to do much but, I was EATING. Here’s hoping my green tea consumption helped to burn off some of those extra calories I was piling on!
Now that I’m feeling better, I want to play around with baking with the matcha green tea powder. Wish me luck! You can find the Kiss Me Organics Matcha green tea powder here!
Have you tried a matcha green tea powder before?

In all honesty, I couldn’t drink anything that color, but if it was mixed in with something else – I would be all over it.
I was thinking the exact same thing. Even if it is really, really great for the body, there is no way I could drink it because of the color.

I haven’t tried this before! I generally only drink tea when I’m sick. I’m trying to really kick soda to the curb. Maybe this would help with my energy level?

I love green tea, but I’ve never tried this before. I think it would work great in smoothies or mix it in with some vanilla ice cream too!

I’ve never had it in the powder form though I drank it in the tea bag form for much of my pregnancies. A bit controversial but I enjoyed it. I haven’t had it much now that I’m breast feeding but I may start up soon.
I haven’t tried a matcha green tea before, but I had some great matcha cupcakes once! I love green tea so I may have to try match one day.
I will be looking for this at the market. This sounds like something I would love!
