When it comes to my beauty regimen, I’m still tinkering to find the perfect mix. My bathroom is full of hair and skin products that are currently in testing mode while I hope to finally hit the beauty jackpot. One skincare product comes to mind as one that has truly proven itself to me.
Mother’s Special Blend is a natural product to tone skin and prevent stretch marks. I was first introduced to it when I was pregnant with my son. It was my first pregnancy and I had heard all these horror stories about what happens to your body with pregnancy. I had also seen the post baby bellies of some family and friends that terrified me, if I’m being honest. Call it vanity or wisdom, but those stories had me scouring the web to find out how I could beat the stretched out belly blues!
I read about oiling your belly with cocoa butter, shea butter and other types of oils. Then, I stumbled upon Mother’s Special Blend while at Whole Foods Market. The potion boasts a mix of several oils; (almond, pecan and coconut) blended with cocoa butter and vitamin E, and it really does the trick. I put it on morning and night after a shower while I was pregnant and after giving birth. One bottle lasted the whole pregnancy and beyond. I am proud to report that I’m stretch mark free!
So now that I am pregnant with baby number two… you have to know my first purchase was another bottle of Mother’s Special Blend! Here’s hoping the first time wasn’t just luck! Did you or do you have any potions you use to get through pregnancy? I’m all ears… and belly!
*I wasn’t paid to review Mother’s Special Blend. I just really loved it and wanted to share!
That’s fantastic that it worked so well for you! I didn’t get any on my tummy surprisingly, but I did get a couple on my hips. 🙁

I agree with you. If you’re pregnant, you should extra careful on using beauty and skin products because it might affect the baby. Thanks for sharing this.. Good review. 🙂

I used straight cocoa butter, just like my mother had. And had NO stretch marks!
I have heard that you get strech markes genetically. I used some creams containing cocoa butter anyways during my pregnancies…I thought that it was wort trying. Must tell you that I am full of marks now, even on my boobs :(.

Yea, I seriously think it’s genetics, cause the women in my family all got stretch marks–regardless of what they used. But I’ll be keeping this for future references. It never hurts to try.

During my pregnancy, I’m using baby oil to prevent itching that can cause stretch mark in belly. It is very effective because after giving birth, there is no stretch mark in my belly. I an so blessed that I don’t have those laugh lines.
