There’s this saying I’ve heard before and never gave it much thought. That is, until my mama said it. She said “I have more time behind me than I have in front of me.” Not exactly something I want to think about when it comes to my mom. Since the day she said it, I can’t stop thinking about that phrase.
My husband and I were talking one day and I mentioned this phrase. I said truthfully, the same could be said of us. If biblically speaking we get 70 years on this earth, I’m halfway through! WTH!? That made me really start thinking. I’ve already been in grind mode as far as going after things I want and dreaming bigger. Now I feel like I need to take it to another level.
I started out this year with things I wanted to achieve. I have been doing pretty good on those goals. I’ve had to slow WAY down (for a good cause) since having my little munchkin but I’m still making progress.
Somehow, it’s August and the year is nearly over. When it is over, I don’t want to be kicking myself about how I let myself down. There is SO much I want to do, see and be. If I can remember how time flies and that it is truly limited, I think that will be enough to keep me motivated.

I am reading a million posts lately about time and just posted one myself. Time seems to be noticeably ticking fast for me ( wish there was a pause button sometimes!) however, it really makes you think about making sure the time that you do have, you fill with things that are important to you.

I think posts like these constantly remind me of my motivation and i just think about to have a baby definitely puts things into perspective for me on my motivation. there is so much i want to do but at this point…it’s all about meeting the little one and just loving on him!!

I have written a bucket list a couple of weeks ago, and there are a plenty of motivational things on it. I think I have more time behind me than I have in front of me as well, that’s why I have to realize my resolutions!

This matter of time has been weighing on my mind the last few weeks. This year is almost gone. My kids have started a new school year and there’s so much I’d like to knock off my personal goal list between now and year’s end. It seems that time just flutters in the wind, but what can we do but use it wisely.

I feel you on that! Coming from an advertising background we were always a year out planning so I felt time flying by so fast. Now it seems even more pronounced having a child. I was just telling my husband yesterday I’m so glad we did a lot of fun things pre-marriage/baby so that now we don’t feel like we missed out. There’s still a lot we hope to do, but I’m very thankful for all I’ve done so far. Those memories definitely motivate me and keep me smiling in the midst of todderhood with my daughter now!

I agree, time is slowly (or quickly) ticking by. I don’t even know where the time went, but it’s making want to kick things up a notch and do the things that I planned to do.

After my 30th birthday, i started to notice that time flies. I’ve made it up in my mind to enjoy NOW. Because if I don’t I just stress about the time that has gone by and what I SHOULD have accomplished by now. But I still have goals, and I’m working on them. But time flying has forced me to start living NOW.

Time scares me. It’s not like we can buy more time so seeing everything as how much time is left just does soemthing to me. How much time I have left with my kids, my husband, my family….makes you want to live it up.

I think I started off the year on a roll and I have come to a bit of a slow down but I blame it on the summer. I am looking to put the baby in school a few days a week so that I can press the gas to make sure I get the majority of my goals for the year completed.
