One of my goals in life has to be to find a way to make every day feel like a weekend. I love that my whole little family is together on the weekends. I love that we spend time doing things we like and just having experiences together. I want that feeling everyday! In the meantime, I’ll soak up the weekends for all they’re worth.
This weekend was a special one because my parents are in town. They’ll be here for the rest of the week. They are soaking up all of the grand baby cuddles and reading books non-stop. We are just really enjoying each other. My kids are going to lose it when they leave. My son has already made it clear that he wants them to live here. If I had it my way, they would. Sigh.
On Saturday, we had our friends over to hang out with my parents. My parents always love to meet my friends. It’s been that way my whole life. My mom has always gotten to know my friends and pretty much has always been another mom to them.
We had a chill dinner party. The kids played and watched the Cars movie. I mentioned recently that I am kind of bored with my hair. I decided to try something different this weekend and did a two strand twist out.
I kinda like it. I think I need to perfect it though. It only lasted two days before it was up in a bun. Womp.
We also spent some time at the beach, of course. We hung out on the pier for lunch with friends. That was my weekend. How was yours?
Love when family comes and visits…it’s always a great opportunity to check out your own city!
Our weekend was pretty chill. I took the kids to one of the festival fair type rodeos here. We ran errands on Saturday. I like your twist out!

I love weekends. Brunch, togetherness nothingness. Lol. Glad you had a great weekend!
This past weekend was a movie weekend for me. Saturday I went to see “About Last Night.” with Kevin Hart in and I wanted a good laugh because it was suppose to be a romantic comedy but it had to much sex scenes in it for me. I am old school. Sunday afternoon my daughter and I went to see the Disney movie “Frozen.” I didn’t think it was for small children under six. But we really enjoyed it. Since we are quite a bite older than six..hehe….
I need some of your weather for my weekend. I had a great weekend. My bestie came into town and babysat for us for the day and we had a blast.

Your two strand twist out looks cute! I like it! I love having family nearby! It’s a great feeling knowing that everyone is working together!
I like the new look, Cam! It becomes you.
I had a long weekend because of the snow, so I was off from Thursday. Did a lot of catching up on the blog and the Comment Challenge by SITS in which I participated. Then I had a games night at my house for the Caribbean Meetup I’m in. We played Apples to Apples and Buzzword. Fun!

All of my weekends have become quest for me time. I can’t make the baby suffer, so I do try to find free events for weekend play with my little one.
