You wanna be a star? You wanna make it big in this town? You gotta work hard and you gotta get botox! Stop yer whining! I don’t care that you’re only eight! Them the rules. Get with it and get over it!
I imagine that was the conversation with a mom in the U.K. and her daughter. While I’m making light of the situation, it’s not even close to being a laughing matter. My first reaction was actually what the eff?! Why in the world would you make your daughter have botox? Is this really all in the hopes of making her a star? What has this world come to?
Apparently her daughter is really popular on the pageant scene. Cue the them music from Toddlers & Tiaras! To explain herself, the mom had this to say:
“I know one day she will be a model, actress, or singer, and having these treatments now will ensure she stays looking younger and baby-faced for longer.”
Say it with me now… What the Eff!! In the words of an infomercial, I say… but wait, there’s more! She also gets the eight year old waxed so that she gets rid of fluffy leg hair and won’t develop pubic hair in the future. Huh? The list goes on and on. The little girl says she wants a nose and boob job and her mother wants to tattoo her eyebrows so they are always perfect. Is it me or is this some sort of child abuse? Word on the street is this mom is being investigated. Sigh…
Update: Child Protective Services has taken this child away from her mother. Sad situation all around.

That is the craziest thing I have ever heard…that woman is ruining her daughter!
I totally agree. That little girl’s views are warped and sadly, she doesn’t even know it.
I was disgusted when I heard this story as well! In fact I hate the whole child pageant scene because I think it does more harm than good.
