To say I have been M.I.A. would be an understatement. I have been laying real low for several days for good reason. Everyone in my office has been sick. It was only a matter of time before I went down too. I caught a cold that turned into some sort of head/pressure/sinus/cooties attack. Yeah, it was fun.
Being sick sucks. Being pregnant and sick is the exact opposite of awesome. I had to pull out every natural remedy I could think of and I’m still not one hundred percent. The cold was the easy part – it’s that sinus crap that kicks my butt. I digress…
I totally lost my blogging mojo in the process. I’m going to try and get back in the swing of things. I spent my time working from home and laid up in the bed. In between those super fun activities I also found time to surf the web. Do people even say that anymore? Anywho, I found some interesting stuff out there.
Everybody seems to be in love with Spanx these days or anything Spanx-like for that matter. I stumbled across what has to be the next level of the Spanx empire. Workout gear!!!
It’s an interesting concept. It’s like workout gear that makes you look fit on your way to getting fit. Works for me. What doesn’t really work for me is the price tag. It’s a little steep. The pieces I’ve seen range from 62 dollars for a tank to 118 dollars for workout pants. Yeah, steep. Some of the pieces also feature something called the Slim-X® Bagel-Buster to flatten the belly. I just like the name… anything called Bagel Buster gets my attention.
The other thing that caught my attention came from none other than Vogue Magazine. They speak, I listen. That doesn’t mean I always agree. They’ve been touting what they’re calling pajama dressing. It is just what is sounds like. Pajamas that are meant to be worn as clothes.
I’ve seen celebs like Rachel Roy on the red carpet rocking what looked like her pj’s. As much as I like her, I just can’t get with this new trend.
What do you think? Would you rock the pajama trend or the Spanx workout gear?
Wow the pajama trend.I do admit I wear my pajamas to pick my son up but not to go in a public place. I don’t think I can get with this trend but to each their own. Make sure you take care of yourself

I was wondering where you were lady! Glad you survived the cooties…
I don’t really like either trend. Yes, it speaks comfort, but I don’t hear cute. {shrugs shoulders}

Feel better soon. I know exactly what it’s like when everyone at work just passes the cooties along. Like you said you’re bound to go down. Lol. Take it easy. Now let’s talk about the pajama trend. I definitely can’t get down with that. They definitely look comfy but they just look too much like pj’s. If I attempted to wear that, I’d probably feel like everyone is looking at me. No thanks, I’ll keep my pajama’s indoors. But the ad with the woman walking the dog, well that may be the only exception. You can definitely head outside to walk the dog with that outfit and feel good. Pj’s on the red carpet?

I won’t be on the pajamas as an outfit bandwagon. I hated it in college when girls would come to class or the cafeteria in their pj’s!
Spanx as workout clothes?! That sounds very binding and uncomfortable.

Pajamas as clothes? I think that”s insane, although I am a big fan of Vogue as well…

I HATE the pajama trend. HATE it!
I like pajama dressing when we’re talking about beautiful, flowy pants!

I would wear the work out Spanx. There’s something about looking thinner while working out that sounds appealing to me. However, the price- not so appealing.

Um, no. To both. Glad you’re feeling better and getting your blogging mojo back.
I’d wear the workout gear in second, but the pajamas, absolutely not. I spend enough time in them already! Leaving the house is the only thing that gets me out of them!

I find that high end pajama trend intriguing and disturbing at the same time.

I LOVE spanx, don’t know what I would do with out them. If I can find the workout clothes on sale I would def get them! (after Easter since I am not shopping)

No. The pajama trend thing. This is the first I am hearing of that and I definitely hope its the last. That’s a mess.
Now, with Sara Blakely being Forbes self made billionaire she is likely to make another billion with the work out gear. Let me find something to make me alot of money!
Glad you feel better!
