Working Mom Top 8 (because top 10’s are so last year :))
1 – don’t be jealous of SAHM peeps they have their challenges too. You’re not competing you’re actually on the same team
2 – mommy guilt sucks! Know it and find some way to deal with it
3 – when you are with your kids be as present as possible. soak up all the time and love you can when you’re together
4 – disposable cameras are your friend. send one to your child’s school or day care so they can take pictures of your child over time and you can see how they’re enjoying their day
5 – whatever you’re feeling about being a working mom – share it. Get your feelings out. Talk to your husband, your friends, your mom. Just get it out
6 – make the weekends count – try to do those things you would do if you were a SAHM on the weekends
7 – having it all is possible – just maybe not at the same time though. There are days when I feel like I have this work/life balance thing down and there are days when it’s so far off I feel like crying
8 – make your time at work as productive as possible. The more efficient you are at work the less likely you’ll have late nights (hopefully) and you can get home to the family

I am 99.9% sure that I’ll end up as a working mom, so I’m bookmarking this for that (far off) day in the future!
keep it in your back pocket!
Gosh, you are so positive about working mommyhood. I’ve been such a downer about it lately. I’m feeling sorry for myself and feeling stressed, so it’s making my life difficult. What do I do? Complain. I need to take a cue from you.
my positivity changes from day to day – trust me!
So so true! But I want everything NOW 😉
don’t we all!!! 🙂
Great tips! I have bad guilt issues. I am getting better. I try my best to make the most of the weekends.
the weekends are jam packed. i’m sure my son is like back up mom! 🙂
Great list! Mom guilt really does suck. So do late nights. That’s why I drink wine. Joking. Sorta.
HA! drinking wine as I type. 🙂
I like your reason for a Top 8. Great list! I’m so glad I’m a SAHM but I have great respect for moms who juggle a mothering and working life.
Thanks Cam, for leaving me a lovely comment on my guest post over at Natalie’s.
neither is easy. it’s all work.
Those are excellent tips, but I’m horrible at the efficiency one. I flit and flit and flit.
I think I’m a professional flitter. 🙂
It is so true….regardless of being a full time working momma or a SAHM, we all face so many challenges!!!! You DO an amazing job balancing everything, truly amazing!
thanks Lauren! You are the best cheerleader! 🙂
Love these tips because I struggle with this. Most days when I’m work, it’s all good, but some are tough.
I know exactly how you feel!
I love the tips and I believe you are right on!! When I was working full time I was soooo jealous of SAHMs, currently I am 90% SAHM with a little work on the side……And it is not exactly what I thought it would be.
And yes, we are all on the same team. Let’s empower each other. Go TEAM mommy!!!! 🙂
I love it. Go Team Mommy!
